Shirley’s people skills and passion for serving others shine as she helps guide clients along their retirement journeys through her recruiting efforts, seminar assistance, follow-up communications and clerical duties.

Shirley has worked at Graham Capital Advisors’ Sarasota office since 2019, and she previously served as a teacher and business owner. A graduate of Appalachian State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in home economics, Shirley joined the firm because she loves interacting with people and seeing the satisfaction clients get from developing retirement plans that leave them feeling confident and relaxed.

Shirley is active in her Sarasota, Florida, community, sitting on her neighborhood board of directors and serving on three committees. She also is a member of New Sarasotans, a women’s group in Sarasota.

Shirley and her husband, Jack, are blessed with two daughters, a son and three grandsons. When she isn’t assisting clients or her community, Shirley relishes spending time with her family and on the golf course.
